Opening Prayer

Open with your own prayer or follow the following steps. (5-10 minutes)

Step 1

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the chance to gather around you.  We ask you to send your Holy Spirit to be with us and open our minds and our hearts. Holy Spirit, we want to hear from you. We want to respond to your promptings that you place in our hearts for the direction you have for us and our parish. We ask, and even expect, audaciously, that you might inspire us here today. Amen. 

Step 2

Read today's Gospel.

Step 3

Invite the Holy Spirit to come be with you. Invite words or thoughts that He might want for you. Reread the Gospel passage if needed.  Take time to reflect in silence.
